I don’t want to set off a panic, but we, the People of the United States of America, are in the midst of a second “Great Depression”. Our greed, apathy, and recklessness have caught up with us. As of August of this year, the national unemployment rate was hovering at 22%, inflation around 10%, and [...]

These folks, aided by their GOP allies, have worked tirelessly since the 1980′s to decimate the regulatory components of our financial system in an effort to create the world’s greatest casino. Methodically and quietly, they repealed regulation after regulation designed to prevent a second Great Depression. This lead to ridiculous investment instruments and schemes that lead to the biggest bailouts in history, bankrupted the nation’s housing sector, created twenty percent unemployment, and nearly deprived America of its domestic automotive manufacturers. Oh yes, it is more than about time.
